Iranian short film ‘Alan’ is to go on screen at the 17th Int’l Short Film Festival of Lille in France.

Iranian short film ‘Alan’ directed by Mostafa Gandomkar has been scheduled to go on screen at the 17th edition of the International Short Film Festival of Lille, France.

To be held in the French city from September 23 to October 1, the French event will screen ‘Alan’ which is a short film about a Kurdish man in Syria who has lost his home and family during ISIS attacks.

Gandomkar’s work recently qualified to represent Iran at Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival in Brazil.

It will vie at the Brazilian festival alongside other short films from Brazil and around the world during the event’s 28th year.

The Iranian short film made its international debut at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival held February 3-11, 2017 in France.

The International Film Festival of Lille is the 3rd biggest short film festival in France. Annually, it welcomes around 7000 people in two cinemas of Lille who can discover what's best in terms of global short films.

Since its creation, the International Film Festival of Lille has discovered great talents like the French movie makers Cedric Klapisch and Mathieu Kassovitz.
